Programme

Abstract Submission

The conference programme will be very interactive and we invite all delegates wishing to present their research to submit a 250-word abstract. There is the facility to submit abstracts as well as to indicate your presentation preference during the registration process.  The Organising Committee will select between 12 and 16 oral presentations from the submitted abstracts.

Please note, submitted abstracts will not be distributed publicly (ie online), neither before, during nor after this year’s conference.  All research presented at or discussed during the conference will be treated in strictest confidence to help facilitate lively discussions and to encourage participants to submit preliminary results.

Bursaries

RNA Society conference bursaries

We have funding in place for up to three conference bursaries / Stipendien (*) and invite post graduate students and early-career scientists (1st and 2nd post-docs) to apply.
For the three successful applicants, the bursary amount will be deducted from the overall registration fees.

The application can be made during the online registration process. Applicants MUST submit an abstract in order for their application to be considered.

(*) The LARP Society and the local organising committee of the 5th International Biennial Conference on ‘LARPs’ acknowledge the financial support provided by the RNA Society without which these bursaries / Stipdendien would not be available.

Travel funds available through the University of Würzburg

For ‘early career researchers’ only: Have you ever been matriculated at a German University? If ‘No’, then we can provide you with additional travel funds through the University of Würzburg. Application for these travel funds can be made during the online registration process. The University of Würzburg Admissions Office will get in touch with youonce you have applied and explain how the university can help with travel funds.

Application deadline for this program is Monday, 21st May 2018.

Social Programme

  • Monday, 10 September – Dinner at Tagungsort Wildbad followed by informal get-together
  • Tuesday, 11 September – ‘Night Watchman’ guided tour of Rothenburg followed by dinner at the Restaurant ‘Kartoffel Stübel Rödertor
  • Wednesday, 12 September – Wine tasting followed by dinner at the Weinhaus ‘Glocke’

Tagungsort Wildbad is set in an old spa hotel from the 19th century. The hotel features a picturesque garden and terrace. Each of the bright rooms is decorated in a modern style. They come equipped with a seating area and private bathroom with a hairdryer. There is no TV in the rooms, but the property has a shared lounge area with a TV.

The scenic medieval Old Town of Rothenburg-ob-der-Tauber is 1.6 miles from the hotel, as is the German Christmas Museum.

Transport will be arranged from Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) and from Nuernberg Airport – further details will be announced in due course.

No transport will be arranged from Munich Franz Joseph Strauss Airport (MUC).  However you can book your own transfer from Munich Airport
